June 2019

Very few members attended the monthly meeting but nevertheless a decision was made on the the location of next years holiday.  We are going back to one of our favourite haunts the North Yorkshire Moors.
Not enough members were able to attend the run on the 16th so it was decided to cancel, but we did have an evening get together at the Fishermans Arms, Baycliffe. It was a perfect evening for driving the coastal road between Ulverston and Barrow.
At the beginning of the month 8 members, once again, enjoyed a holiday in Jersey. This year they extended their stay to include the Jersey International Motoring Festival.  Unfortunately there were problems with 2 of the cars, Martin’s TF showed problems the day before departure so he switched to his B and Roger’s F refused to go any further than Stafford and had to be recovered home. After driving through the night in his “spare” he and Sue arrived in Portsmouth just in time for breakfast and to catch the ferry. The rest of the holiday went to plan and all the cars made it back home in one piece.

Not everything goes to plan!
